Forms required for USCG Auxiliary Personnel Security Investigations.
DIRECT OPERATIONS
Required for Auxiliarists involved with missions that involve direct operations with the active duty Coast Guard, such as coxswain and boat crew personnel, watch standers, or those routinely working inside Coast Guard installations with active duty personnel.  (Note, this level of clearance is NOT required for Auxiliarists who "occasionally" visit a CG installation for meetings, classes, or to assist with a short-term public affairs event).

Forms required for Direct Operations Status,
include two (2) fingerprint cards plus those listed below

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
Required for all other Auxiliarists, not involved with direct operations with the active duty Coast Guard.  Examples, teaching public education classes, vessel safety checks, boating safety program visitations, etc.  It is also the minimum level of clearance for any Auxiliarist that wishes to remain an official member of the USCGAUX, even if they are not currently involved in or qualified for a mission. (RETIRED status members are NOT required to undergo a security investigation).
